A beautiful old farmhouse, a whole valley to look out over, and a place that feels like it’s yours from the moment you arrive.
The first time we walked up the drive to Mas Baget, we fell completely in love with it. This beautiful 18th-century stone farmhouse sits in the hills above Alforja, around 90 minutes from Barcelona, with views stretching all the way down the valley towards the coast.
And we thought: we have to share this.
So that’s exactly what we do.
When you stay at Mas Baget, you have the whole house to enjoy. No other guests, no strangers wandering through – just your friends and family, your own space, and the freedom to make the place your own for a while.
There’s room for up to 21 people, making it perfect for bringing everyone together. But it’s just as wonderful for a smaller group looking for a peaceful escape.
The house, the gardens, the pool and those beautiful views are all yours to enjoy.
A house made for being together
Mas Baget isn’t a hotel – and we wouldn’t want it to be.
It’s a real, lived-in home, with all the warmth and character that comes with that. The kitchen is more like something you’d find in a small restaurant than a holiday house, with everything you need to cook for a crowd. The dining room seats up to 35, and somehow, sooner or later, everyone always seems to find their way around that long table.
It’s a house for long lunches that turn into long afternoons. For cooking together, sharing bottles of wine, children disappearing into the garden, old friends staying up too late and families finally getting everyone together in one place.
We’ve welcomed families, groups of friends, retreats, wedding parties and all sorts of gatherings.
If you’re looking for somewhere to be together, but still have plenty of space to breathe, Mas Baget was made for it. Make yourselves at home
When you arrive, Mas Baget is yours to explore and enjoy.
You’ll have:
- The whole house, with room for up to 21 guests, and all its wonderful spaces to make yourselves at home in.
- Our two retro cabins, available when you need a little extra room, sleeping 4 people each.
- The kitchen and dining room, including our wonderfully well-equipped, restaurant-grade kitchen with two fridge-freezers, an additional freezer, and plenty of room to cook and gather.
- The gardens, BBQ area and pool – perfect for lazy afternoons, long lunches and evenings outside.
- A ground-floor bedroom with its own en-suite wetroom and step-free access, ideal for anyone in your group with mobility needs.
Room to relax, play and celebrate
There’s plenty more to Mas Baget than bedrooms.
Downstairs, the entrance living room is the perfect place to settle into when you first arrive. Upstairs, you’ll find another living room with a TV and sound system – somewhere to escape to for a quiet evening, a film or a bit of downtime.
The dining room has its own sound system too.
And, because sometimes dinner needs to become a party, there’s even a disco ball.
Just above the main house is our 100m² studio – a wonderfully flexible space that can become almost anything you need it to be. Yoga class? Absolutely.
Workshop or retreat space? Perfect.
Games room? Theres a pool table and table tennis.
Wedding rehearsal? We’ve done that too.
Or simply leave the doors open, turn up the music and let everyone spread out.
It’s your space. Use it however you like.
Come for the house. Stay for the valley.
And if you can visit in September or October, you’re in for something really special.
It’s harvest season across the Priorat, Montsant and Penedès, with vineyards just minutes away opening their doors for harvest visits and tastings. The afternoon light turns the valley golden, and the whole region seems to come alive.
It’s our favourite time of year at Mas Baget – and it tends to fill up quickly.

- Ground floor apartment with en-suite, has small double and sofa-bed, disabled access wet room with toilet shower and sink.
- Bedroom one has 2 doubles separated by furniture.
- Bedroom two has a double.
- Bedroom three has a double.
- Living room with TV and sound system.
- Bathroom with a shower and two toilets.
- There is a bathroom with a shower and two toilets half way down the stairs too.
- Bedroom one has a double and a day-bed at one end and 3 singles and a bunk, separated by furniture.
- Bedroom two has a double and a single and a bunk, separated by curtains. (Plus an extra portable fold-up bed, and fold-up cot).
- Bedroom three has a double and 2 singles separated by furniture.
- Massive shared bathroom with 4 separate showers and 4 toilet cubicles.
- These are located away from the house and are totally self contained. Each with a double bedroom, a bunk bed, and space for another single if required and bathroom and kitchen area with fridge and stove. Access to BBQ area with large stone table.
- Everyone has use of the large industrial kitchen and indoor and outdoor dining area, huge pool, 25,000m squared of land and portable BBQ.
- You can rent rooms, an entire floor or the whole house and one or both cabins. Also for private dining and catered events, there is an industrial kitchen, large dining room (30 to 35 guests), entrance hall and access to toilets (including access to disabled toilet).
- The kitchen at Mas Baget is spacious and fully-equipped with a gas stove & electric oven, 2 fridge-freezers, an extra fridge, an extra freezer & ample shelf space. You can cater for your family or group and sit down to eat in the large dining room which seats 30+ people.
